Dual Diagnosis Treatment – A man with a dual diagnosis has both an alcohol or drug problem and a passionate/psychiatric problem. To fully recover, the individual need therapy for both disorders. For some, drug and alcohol abuse and substance dependence are a misnomer. According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, a guy may have an alcohol use issue, such as hitting the bottle hard or excessive drinking that creates problems in life, but he or she does not show signs of dependency.
